Meet Jess, the woman behind the lens:
My name is Jess and I feel so lucky to have found this niche of photography. I have modeled since I was 16, and love being captured in those memories, so I can dust them off and reflect on that time of my life and all the things going on then. After graduating from college, I moved from Austin to Washington, DC and when my work day was over, I would sit in my make-shift studio and design lingerie. I loved working with the delicate lace and how the silk made me feel so luxurious. No one ever knew what was under my clothes, but I did, and I loved feeling feminine and powerful. I ended up not being so great at sewing (yet) so I shifted my focus to travel. I spent my 20s vagabonding around the world, circling the globe THREE times, visiting over 45 countries and countless cities. I was still modeling, but I turned the camera around to photograph the beautiful landscapes I would find myself exploring, so I could share that beauty with friends and family. I spent that time as a digital nomad, realizing that as long as there was wifi I could make money, so over the next decade, I built over a dozen businesses in numerous industries, for clients that needed my help with their business start-ups. I got really good at all aspects of business development, but I kept having these thoughts that if I didn't build my dreams, someone else would hire me to build theirs. So, ultimately decided to go for it and create a business that helps women remember their power and ferocity. I took my love of lingerie & photography and built J Renee Boudoir to show women the goddesses that they are! I've always loved that feeling of getting glammed up in the hair and makeup chair, and having my beauty captured. It's a transformative experience that I want to share with others, so they can look back on images of theirselves and remember who they were then and feel proud of how far they have come since! I believe all women should try a boudoir shoot at some point in their lives to open their world to the confidence, sexiness and femininity within them <3
